Corrine wraps her free arm around Ellie, watching the fray anxiously over the top of her head;

It'll be fine, sweetling. Ben and... that... Targaryen fellow are taking care of it. Don't look though, it's messy."

Quivering with exhaustion, relief and fear alys gladly divulged herself of the dagger and hugs herself, quiet sobs begin to escape her as she holds her head down, raven dark hair falling like a curtian around her face in an poor attempt to hide her fear and sorrow. "
I don't like it when pretty lady cry"
replies gerrold in a poor attempt to comfort the girl.

Says Rudolph to the quiet targaren. "
We are making our way to the Sept right up the road here."
He makes a gesture to the solidly built building, taller then the others around it and so sticking out in the moonlight. "
Would you care to join us in completing our journey?"

Corrine moves over to Alys, limping, and gingerly puts one hand on the girl's shoulder, her other arm holding onto Ellie for support;


"
It's alright, Alys. They can't hurt you now. Come to the sept with us. It'll be safe,"
she coaxes gently.

Taking some comfort in the gentle reassuring pressure from Corrine's arms, Alys Rivers lets herself be guided by Lady Corrine, placing one foot in front of the other, studying intently where her next footfall would be placed, then another, then another...

The black and red armoured knight had fought with uncommon skill and grace - had Baelon's supposed father graced him with a suit of plate, to confirm his legitimacy? Had Prince Daemon himself come to their aid? Their ally was alike to both men in ability...

The mysterious knight lifts his visor and is instantly identifiable to even those who have never met him.

The white hair of a Targaryen curls round from beneath his ears together with the family's characteristic unearthly beauty.

But it is the single purple Targaryen eye that makes naming the princeling child's play - this is none other than Aemond Targaryen, a prince of the Royal blood! Unconcealed by his visor, it is clear now that this is a young man, only just on the cusp of knighthood but already the equal of men a decade his elder. It is said that he has been trained by Ser Criston Cole of the Kingsguard himself, and you have now seen the evidence to prove the lessons did not go unheeded.

He sneers at his defeated foe, performing a swift coup de gras before setting his manner more gently as he approaches Corrine and Alys, offering to relieve Corrine of her burden.

Alys looks enchanted, seemingly unconcerned with Aemond's brutal killing of one of her assailants. To be saved from ruffians by a dashing young Prince! A nightmare has turned in to a young girl's dream.

[OOC: now we all know how the seemingly kind Alys Rivers meets Prince Aemond Targaryen!

Ser Benedict - as/if Aemond takes Alys from the injured Corrine, you have a rare opportunity....

Ben simply nods to the over-dramatic boy. Feeling unsure whether the young girl would be any safer with him. He wipes his blade across his breeches.

I am sure there will be others on the way and at the sept who could use assistance, if your are willing to extend your good will."


Ben does not look to see Aemond's response. Instead stepping to Corrine's side relieving Ellie of her task. Standing by Corrine supporting her with one arm his sword hanging in his free hand and Ellie drawn in close to the two he looks to the armored figure, with a look of indifference.

*Later, at the sept...*

The sept is mildly crowded from castle residents seeking refuge from the dreams and, or, from the chaos of the agitated Green and Black supporters. The pews were cleared from the center and lined up to serve as makeshift beds for a few injured being treated. The good septon of Riverrun prayed aloud as believers huddled around the shrine to the Mother, with others interspersed among the other aspects of the Seven. The self-redeeming miscreants working for the kindly septon from House Dulver were skeptical of the Coldbrook warrior bidding for entry, but allowed her through at his behest.

"
Thank you, septon,"
she bows modestly. "
I understand I must be needed elsewhere to help keep the peace. I promise I won't be long."
She sets about looking for someone in particular, anchored just long enough to hear the stout fellow's response.

Her eyes browse the scenery as she goes, making her way toward the front to see the pews occupied by the injured. They light upon the stained red spot on the bandages covering Corrine's flank, and immediately she swifts to her side.

"
Lady Corrine! Will she be all right?"
she asks Arlyn, who follows to see how he might be of assistance. Can she hear me? Poor girl, I hope she's taking milk of the poppy.

"
Aye she will survive. I'm am glad that you found your way here. I'm also glad that my medical kit was here so I could use my brine, it appears to be very effective in my tests that I have used so far in preventing infection. Maybe if I could speak with your Maester Lady Corrine I could share my recipe?"

[ooc: Folks, can one of you make a new thread in the Sept section of the forum and move your posts there? The interaction with Aemond is still going, and adding later stuff before it resolves is just going to confuse things.]

Says the red mouthed Rudolph and gives a quick and deep bow, giving a slight shove to Gerrold. "

He hisses to Gerrold. "

He continues from his protrated position. "
We an't meanin any disrecpect M'lord but it is a dangerous place out here. We best get moving to the Sept where it is safer. There is a lot of trouble out in the streets."
With that he straightens again and says. "
We are leavin though. Come with us if you wish."

In contrast to Ben's primitive method of cleaning his blade, Prince Aemond sheds most of the blood from his sword with a flourish before wiping the rest on a fallen ruffian.

He support Alys Rivers with his left arm, treating her with a tender natures that contrasts jarringly with his ferocious combat style and superior attitude.

As Corrine find her words, Aemond has already begun to march her away - gently but with purpose.

She looks to Aemond for guidance, who nods and snaps "
One question, this poor girl needs to see a maester."


Aemond slows, but does not stop, determined to get his new found - charge? prize? - to safety.

Corrine's mind races. She has so many questions. Choosing one in that moment makes her panic. She wants to tell him just to take her to the maester, but this chance might not come again. Fate crossed her path with Alys' this night. It must not be squandered.

Hurry up! Just bloody ask her something!

"
What did you mean when you said I had two hearts in me?"
she blurts out.

Alys laughs self consciously, then winces from pain caused by the movement.

"
Maester Medrick always said I hand funny turns and flights of fancy, but I see things. Two years not your own beat within you - one a gift, one created."


Her voice grows more faint - only Corrine and Aemond can hear what follows easily.

At the strain of recalling the vision or perhaps from the events of the day Alys's eyes roll back and she faints, sagging in the Prince's arms.

yells Aemond in something halfway between concerned panic and Targaryen rage, striding off with his precious cargo to seek a horse and then help.
