[Tentatively starting thread, sans jousting rolls, in advance of response from Ereth and Alfred. If the tourney can't be moved back to 126/11 or 126/12, ignore this, as neither Loreia nor Baelon will be able to attend during 127/01 or 127/02.]

It was perhaps luck that saw her wind up fighting alongside Baelon two years ago, after dealing the tensing final blow that put down Ser Jorah in the melee. A chance meeting bestowed by the Warrior wherein she would find small favor with him that he should work alongside Lord Benedict Marsten - then Ser Benedict Blackthorne - and her, to be the last two standing at the decisive moment when she yielded to him. It was not luck that saw Lady Marsten's cousin Dyana last against the Dragon's Son longer than herself would have. Beneath her visor, she reddens further to remember how she knelt before him as if on ceremony in that final bout. Speculation on the action must have spread in accompanying the hateful word spoken against her, a spiteful and baseless slander for those who detest her to cling to. It was a year of personal honors and embarrassments, of victories...and defeats.

The cheers of the tourney many moons ago that lifted her spirits would be as a ghost compared to the spiteful jeers of today on the Green field. Perhaps less so given the opponent "
randomly selected"
to meet her. On the other side of the tilt rides Baelon on Velox, whom she had the pleasure of meeting at Caladan. Between then and now, passing over the tourney there some moons later, she has not spent much time beyond that riding in combat (indeed, she will need to procure herself a spear), to put what they practiced into practice. It was difficult to keep up with him then, as he martially outmatched her in every way.

Perhaps the Warrior sensed her pride swelling her head and directed her to Caladan to remind her how small a fish she was in this ocean of sharks. Need the Seven go any further, belaboring the point? She salutes the host, and prepares to charge on word go.
