I think you're reading too much into it. You told her you moved the pots. That's what she's referring to.

I'm not especially bothered. It's an IC misunderstanding. If you want to change Athelstan's response to Corrine in light of my clarification, then go ahead, but it's not a big deal.

If you thought the horse's death was bad I'm hoping to do better with the trial. Then again, the horses are innocent, while some of the criminals will be justified sinners at best (in their own view). Let's hope you lot don't hang any innocents.

And I'm pretty freaked out by how easily Ser Rufus confessed. I'm very suspicious, hehe.

I'm sure he will find something or thinks he has a way to get out of it.

Baelon knows something you don't know, and Baelon doesn't know you know something relevant. (I feel like I'm doing game theory again... )

It's all a giant misunderstanding and assumptions made IC, perhaps Ser Jorah and Corrine words will make this calm down, or perhaps Baelon abandons reason and says hell with it, and commits a crime, as he is not a House with the power of the kings justice or the power to arrest and do what he is doing.

It's all in the air, and we will see where it goes :8-): Daveth might just remain passive bystander, maybe not, Septon may come with soldiers or not.

Not to mention, we twigged to this whole thing pretty recently. It's urgent enough that we felt a need to act, even if it meant risking this sort of miscommunication.

The consequences of inaction, in our view, far outweighed the consequences of overreaction.

On the contrary, the legal system in Westeros is terribly unfair. I am a noble, you are not. I have various rights, you have none. Perhaps I would have to pay restitution to your father for the income he would lose by your death, but that's about as bad as it gets. Oh sure, I'd be making (more of) an enemy of House Longshore, but in terms of legal recompense? Merely a fine...

Besides, as I said IC, he's acting on an a legal obligation that all subjects of the crown are supposed to do - act to protect the King and his interests (such as preventing a gunpowder er, wildfire plot.

Though, as I have said elsewhere - I have no desire to kill Athelstan. If that happens it will be because you have burned a destiny point to make it that way.
