Due to previus round of melee, this was very equal group, but Darron Greyjoy and Ser Myles Blackwood outmatched their opponents the most. Even if there was no clear favorite, it was clear who has favor of gathered people- Ser Loreia, Shieldmaiden in service of House Coldbrook.

And Ser Gareth Royce was first, who decided to attack her first. Determination in his eyes could be easily mistaken with madness, when he rushed across the melee ground. First two steps changed into furious sprint, at end of which was waiting Shieldmaiden. Crowd held their breaths...

Ser Gareth Royce round 1:

In the same moment, Lord Forrest Frey rushed on opponent standing next to him- Darron Greyjoy, an Ironborn. He pushed him with his shoulder at the end of charge, but Ironborn remained on his feet. Lord Forrest followed with hard swing, but it also did not hurt Greyjoy.

Lord Forrest Frey round 1:

At the other end of melee ground, Ser Myles Blackwood engaged Ser Harrold Darke. Blackwood's Regent was more aggressive, but Harrold Darke was trying to give back every hit. After Blackwood's attempt to knock down his opponent, Ser Darke lost his balance enough, to let Ser Myles hit his opponent with powerful blow from above. Noise echoed across the ground, but Ser Harrold was not only still in battle, but managed to trip Blackwood down with clever counterattack. Standing over his opponent, Ser Darke attacked with mighty power.

Great, she has to deal with the hotheaded Royce first. What an opening though, bold and strong, charging across the field at her with abandon. A bit reckless, but determined.

She retaliates by laying into him with her shield to knock him down on one knee, and swings downward. Gareth holds his ground against the assault, and his armor absorbs the blow.

Ser Loreia Round 1:

[OOC: received note from Baelon and did some corrections:
- Lord Frey's knockdown attempt on Darron was succesful, but his low +1D roll didn't change damage delivered
- Loreia would need to roll at least 12 to sucessfully knockdown Ser Gareth (Agility 3=Passive Agility 12, armor penalty does not apply), so her attempt was failed

You rolled a 11 when you look at orokos so hes still standing.

good point- I forgot to remove 1 from his roll because of fatigue point he started combat with. No idea why I added 1 instead removing it. I have corrected it and roll is as it should be- 10. Darron is still standing, of course. Thanks for correcting.

Ser Gareth Royce, knocked down to one knee, pushed from the ground as hard as he can to hit Loreia with his shoulder. Surprised Shieldmaiden fell to the ground, straight under Royce's ferocious blow.

Lord Forrest Frey was in completely opposite situation as he planned, when rushed on Greyjoy. With tremendous effort he stood up and attacked without belief...

Lord Forrest Frey round 2:

Blackwoods' Regent underestimated his opponent and now was in tough position. He rolled to the side, standing up at the end with swing from left side. Harrold Darke was ready for that, parrying it, and counterattacking with precise thrust. Experience of Ser Myles let him avoid the hit, but not without problems.

Loreia rises back up on her feet and continues her attack. So far, her strikes have been deflected by Ser Gareth's armor.

4 DoS 20 - 10 = defeat or 3 injury's to not be defeated which eliminates him from the match anyway.

Attempting to deflect the blows of Lord Frey had taken most of the bite out of the hits and bounced off Darrons armour, seeing his chance he aims his axe at what looks to be a weakened joint and strikes it. The joint snaps under the brunt of the attack letting it go further into Lord Frey. Pulling back blood trails from the area and with it Darron nods to Lord Frey for a duel well fought.

Ser Gareth tried to push Loreia with his attacks, but came moment he had to slow down breathing heavily. Proud Royce was trying to find gap in Shieldmaiden's defence, but unsuccesfully this time.

Lord Forrest Frey caught under heavy strikes of Darron Greyjoy had no other option than admitting his defeat. Tired and beaten, shouted from the ground with hand risen in gesture of surrender -I yield, Greyjoy! Victory is Yours!- and that was end of melee adventure of Lord Frey...

Ser Myles was back in combat, focused this time- underestimation of his opponent was gone. He was trying to surprise his opponent with long step forward followed by swing from left to right, what caught Darke by surprise. Using moment when Ser Harrold lost his concentration, Blackwood hit him to the face with gauntlet. Knight of Crownlands fell to the ground with face covered in his hands shouting -I yield, Ser, mercy!-

Ser Gareth tried to stand up, but failed under Loreia's strikes. Trying to get some relief, he tried to surprise her with nasty swing, swing which was stopped by her armor.

Ser Gareth Royce round 4:

Ser Myles despite Darron's challenge, simply ignored it. He did instead what honour and wisdom adviced him, and rushed to aid Loreia. Even if he didn't surprise Ser Gareth, he managed to deliver clear hit.

-Hold on Shieldmaiden!- shouted Ser Myles, standing on the other side of laying Royce.

Ser Myles Blackwood round 4:

Not quite ready to throw down the shield, Loreia focuses on getting in one good hit. For a moment, she catches the eye of her would-be ally, the lord regent Ser Myles. Gareth's right where I need him. If I can just...

With renewed determination, she manages to get under Ser Gareth's guard and strike across his middle.

"Yield, Ser Gareth?" A test. Is he canny in the heat of battle to make up for his bull-headedness? Or does he commit in full when joining a fight? She will get her answer soon...

Ser Gareth's pride didn't let him surrender that easy. He tried to knock Loreia down, but not succeeding once more, he seemed no other option than putting everything in one, decisive blow...

Ser Gareth Royce round 5:

Ser Myles managed to hold his ground against Darron's charge. He responded with cunning attempt to pull opponent's leg with sword. Seeing no effect, he immediately followed it with strong strike of shield- so strong that he felt it in his elbow and shoulder. Blackwood tried to reach falling Darron with blade, but his strike only slipped over Greyjoy's plate armor.

Ser Myles Blackwood round 5:

[My mistake. Your maths is superior.]

Committed and bull-headed. Together, that spells defeat for Ser Gareth. The Valeman must temper his aggression before he can expect his ambition to be rewarded. His mistakes add up to give her advantage after advantage.

Finding a chink in his plate, she pushes forward with her shield, pushing her sword against found purchase, and shares a fair warning with him as blood starts to line the edge of her blade.
