Raff hitched a ride with a merchant setting out from Warrior's Seat on his way to the westerlands, Ser knew enough not to be directly associated with this particular business, a bundle had been left unattended for Raff to pick up when nobody was looking. A few silvers and a good tale kept his companion for the road happy to give him a ride and drop him off outside Pennytree, his aunt and uncle lived there in a cabin in the woods around these parts, you see. And his father had asked him to bring these pelts as a gift for the coming winter. Is winter coming? Well, father seemed to think so.

Raff follows a hunter's trail to a clearing, past a lookout that he he would not notice if he did not know that one would be there, leaves his bundle in the clearing, slightly out of sight, then follows the signs left behind to lead him to Pennytree by a more circuitous route through the woods, the stones he could let be, the man named Marq had told him, hunters and trappers oft left markings such as that to help them find the way back to good spots, or lead others to them.

Others would pick up the package, and take it through the forest to the other side of the village, to be found some other day.
