Luecian along with Ser Garred and a few trappers such as Ten Tooth Tyg arrive near the outskirts of PennyTree with the thought to help provide food to any locals who may be needing it. They split up within some nearby woods and search for their prey. All of them our accomplished hunters even if they prefer different methods- Ser Garred preferred hunting boar with his spear, Tyg and his friends mostly used dogs or strong and clever traps. Of course, Luecian preferred his bow.

: 6d6k5-1 18

They eventually came upon a small group of wild boar. Luecian managed to put down one with his bow while Ser Garred chased tried to chase another down with his spear.

They cleaned and gutted their collection of kills and brought them back to the Dulver retainers assigned to setup a food distribution site near PennyTree.

[D5, D?] Words, Deeds and Dulvers Empty Re: [D5, EE-ME] Molifiying the masses, Helping the Hurt

Post by Septon Arlyn Mon Dec 07, 2015 4:53 pm

Mollifying the Masses
Septon Arlyn spent time walking among the people, hearing their complaints and offering advice and providing comforting words. The complaints they listed were numerous and grievances against the both Lords and the royal peacekeeping forces were long. There was also fear regarding the frequent attacks and raids coming from the river.

com/roll/350123:vy4kx9yh]Mollifing the populance of pennytree with favored die [D5 LA][/url:vy4kx9yh]: 6d6k5 23 - 1 from injury = 22

Septon Arlyns kind words and demenour appeared to bring peace to the masses, and the words of the Dulvers seeking to camp near the town to dissuade any further bandit attacks was met with *approval (pending reader). Word also spread of Luecian's efforts to help provide food for the needy of the town and was met with great approval, food was scarce in the wartorn lands and any assistance provided was deemed as helpful. Septon Arlyn also spread word that he would be offering healing to those who had need of it in the [EE].

Helping the Hurt
Septon Arlyn was had some of the soldiers assist with setting up the a staging ground to help with the healing. Septon Arlyn arrives to find things in proper order, with his healers kit properly supplied and stocked. He sets to the business healing those whom arrive.

He has some success in helping those who arrive, although he wishes that he could spend more time healing those who are injured

Just realized main event was during late afternoon, will simply move it back one timeslot

Ser Garred, followed the lead of experienced huntsman, but left the group as soon as saw enough interesting tracks of boar.

: 5d6k4 17

He was old enough to stay patient, so slowly followed traces of boar. Further he went, more broken branches he was finding. Suddenly, he heard squeaking just behind next bush. He tried to quietly lean and see what's going on on clearing, but branch broke under his foot. He saw group of young boars in the middle of clearing, and from the side big sow was charging at him...

Ser Garred gripped spear stronger in his hands, trying to jump to side. Barely, but he made it, part of his leather pants stayed on boar's fangs. Fortunately only side of boar hit Garred, but hard enough to leave bnruise below his hip Without thinking, he thrusted his spear into back of passing him boar...

Spear unfortunately only slipped on animal's back, leaving bloody mark on it's fur. Garred tried to stand on hit leg, but hit muscle of his leg was tense. To not take the risk, Garred reached to his back and took shield into his left hand. Boar run few more steps, then turned towards intruder to charge him once more...

Round 2

Boar
CD 9
AR 1
HP 6/9
: 3d6k2 9 0dmg

This time Garred equipped in shield, easily managed to avoid charge. He was experienced hunter, and used old trick- with his shield, he provoked boar's charge to go just next to him, in last moment raising shield to let animal pass and to let himself put more power into thrust...

: 3d6 16 2Dos 2x4dmg-1=7dmg

This time Ser Garred hit just behind boar's ear. In one moment Boar's legs became flabby and it heavily dug into the ground... For this Boar, hunt was over...

Ser Garred wiped spearhed in his glove, took out hunting horn and blew into it, as there were young boars still running somewhere around ...

Having done their part to alert and soothe tensions in the village and their encampment outside the city walls nearly complete, the full delegation of House Dulver including Ser Walton, Master Terren, Septon Arlyn, Ser Garred, Ser Tymon and Luecian begin to investigate the area. Looking for clues around both attacks in the area, they work in small teams under Ser Walton's supervision and Septon Arlyn working to coordinate it all. Luecian and Ser Garred focusing on finding any tracks or signs left from the attack. Master Terren and Ser Tymon focus on questioning the locals using their words and fair manner to urge cooperation from them. Ser Garred and Ser Tymon also consider how they would have gone about the two attacks to see if their thoughts shed light on any clues.

(ooc-See House Dulver forum for more details but Terren will roll an investigation roll for Persuasion and Ser Garred will roll an investigation roll for Warfare)

Investigating Pennytree (MA)
Although Terren Dulver is new around these parts, the work done by Septon Arlyn makes the smallfolk decently approachable. Terren will spend time trying to convince smallfolk to shine more light on the situation

Septon Arlyn spends some time speaking with Luecain and Ser Garred, coordinating what they saw and while tracking and hoping to piece together more clues.

Septon Arlyn then helped Coordinating the information they had gathered from Ser Garreds keen tackle mind. With Luecians Longbows assistance Septon felt that they uncovered some interesting clues

[D5:MA, Dulvers' Camp- Training]

After Dulvers camp was made in surroundings of Penytree village, Ser Garred was drilling his soldiers as usual. While practicing, he saw gathering smallfolk. Seeing that, blinked to Walton, who stepped to center of training ground, showing his skills against few opponents, one after another...

: 9d6k6-2 22

Skills of young knight gathered even more watchers, it became pretty crowdy. Ser Walton invited them to join training, with small support of Ser Garred, tempting with opportunities of mastering fighting skills.

: 4d6k3 7
: 3d6 8 failed assist...

Only few men approached, scared of last events, which touched their homes. Obviously more important now are harvest than possibility of being attacked. Harvest will come for sure, attack may not though. Village Elder interested in commotion, and as soon as Ser Garred noticed him, elder was invited to main pavillion. While drinking wine and eating goose stew, Ser Garred in assistance of Young Stony Heath's heir.

: 3d6 6 assist failed...
: 4d6 9

Village Elder gave more attention to free drink and food, but Ser Garred managed to present at least some options, which should help in improving village's defences.

At the end, Ser Garred ask his son, Horas, which man seemed the most impressing and reliable among the volunteers. Horas presented him man of name Donton, and ensured, that he could be the one, whom other would follow in moment of need. Ser Garred took him to the side, to try to explain him basics of commanding and being leader.

: 6d6k4 18+1=19
: 4d6k3-1 15
Donton got Leader of Men training.

Donton turned out to be very quick student, Ser Garred was impressed enough to present him good long sword, as sign of recognition.

[D5, D?] Words, Deeds and Dulvers Empty [D5, ME] Healers Pavilion

Post by Septon Arlyn Sun Dec 13, 2015 8:35 pm

Septon Arlyn was pavilion, with the rain pattering against the shelter of the tents walls. He sees a large shadow against the wall of the tent as Ser Walton approaches. I wonder what sort of trouble he has gotten himself into this time. The Septon thinks to himself. I had best prepare the salve's, no doubt he went running into the flames yesterday.

Walton greeted Septon with nod of his head and smile, despite of tired and dirty face -I hope You have already dealt with most needing men and can take care of those with lesser problems- taking of leather jacket caused him some problems, grim of pain appeared across his face. His left hand, from shoulder to wrist, was bandaged without skill and probably much attention. Septon had to rip bandages of the wounds first. They were smelly, but didn't look dangerous, just minor burns -it was bad for a while, but when my hand stopped being in flames, I could focus on fight again- another grim of pain mixed with something what would be honest smile in other circumstances -it was great victory, Arlyn. And later in caves... I cut two heads with one, clean blow- this smile couldn't be covered by any grim. Walton still had right hand free, so he could gesticulate while continuing his story...

Septon Arlyn smiled at the big knights entrance, glad to see that the heir to House Dulver was safe. As the big knight was talking the Septon quickly assessed the knights injuries, then winced at the Heirs grimace of pain when speaking. After he finished speaking Septon Arlyn commented;

"
Wow, Ser Walton that is a very impressive feat."
Septon Arlyn continues to unwrap the large knights bandages, "
A feat certainly worthy of any of the ancient hero's themselves!"
Septon Arlyn begins to clean the injuries with warm salt water. "
You should have come quicker, My Lord. Even minor injuries like this can turn much worse without proper treatment."
funny how I am lecturing the Heir when my own injuries are still bothersume. Dismissing the thought Septon Arlyn continues, "
did you have someone there to help you, My Lord. It is dangerous to be traveling alone in these woods."

: 6d6k4-2 18

Septon Arlyn applies a salve made from the plant found in drone, who's properties have been found to reduce the burning from the sun as well as flames. "
Now this salve will smell of piss and vinegar Ser Walton, but it will reduce the pain to a dull ache and speed up the healing process."
Septon Arlyn finds the fresh linens provided by House Dulver and carefully wraps up the injury.

Spending so much tiem in penny tree, Septon Arlyn spent time listening, hoping to hear were the cache of wildfire came from, and who would most likely have supported the attacks from last night. Speciafially anything refereeing to this bit of information

This is an old cache, potentially left over from the days when the Hoare family ruled the riverlands.
