To say that Baelon had never been particularly fond of book learning would be a tremendous understatement.
Yet, despite that, he finds himself in the Bracken library along with Maester Leopold.

If I can find a book or two on the history of this conflict - perhaps some words of wisdom on tactics - perhaps I can get an inkling of who might have been taught to wage war this way.

The two men search the library for any books on the history of warfare or military strategy. Slowly, they begin to piece together a history of the conflict, albeit one blatantly biased towards the Bracken perspective.
