Day 6 MN - An urgent request

Ser Jorah strode back into the Coldbrook encampment, an urgent step in his stride. Arriving outside Lord Coldbrook's pavilion, he saluted the guards on duty and spoke to them with authority.

"
I have an urgent need to speak to Lord Coldbrook. This concerns a chance to rid ourselves of Ser Lionel Darry once and for all."

On such a matter no delay would be brooked, no matter the hour.

Despite the darkness, Lord Coldbrook seemed alert an awake, his bald head almost skull-like in the lantern light.

"
Speak Ser Jorah. That righteous windbag cut his way through a score of my men when we took Castle Grenward. He has butchered a multiple of that over the following years."


He slams a fist in to his other hand.

"
I will see him bleed."

"
Ser Lionel has ambushed a Tullison patrol returning home from here at the tourney and captured them all. Among those taken is somebody dear to Lord Tullison. A challenge was sent to Lord Tullison demanding a trial by Seven or the woman will die.

Seven knights have answered, including myself, but Ser Lionel's fanaticism can't be trusted not to be underhanded. As such, a plan has been created to send a backup force to ensure his capture. Speed is of the essence and I would like to take elements of the Cavalry as part of this force."

"
I also want to take people I trust as part of that force;
Loreia and Daveth. One to help lead and provide protection. Daveth to help with healing afterwards and sadly this would be good experience for him to be out in the field;
perhaps help to toughen him up. He would of course be well protected."

Lord Coldrbrook harrumphs loudly at the mention of Daveth.

"
Be sure he doesn't faint at the sight of blood and disgrace us."


"
The cavalry are yours - show them that the north breeds fine cavalry, we don't need to be anointed with oils and swear vows to fight from the saddle."


"
I have faith in you Ser Jorah. Bring me word of that Darry dog's fate. Soft southerners - who puts a ploughman on a banner?"

"
I think Daveth will surprise you my Lord. I will ensure that Ser Lionel does not escape."

"
I do not doubt it Ser Jorah."


A rarity, as Lord Coldbrook salutes Ser Jorah, instead of the other way round.
