Rules & Prizes
- Five shots per round.
- You're expected to shoot fairly rapidly, so only your first roll benefits from the "aim" action.
Round 1: (9) – Four DoS needed to progress. (Best thirty pass) 5 GD winnings each
Round 2: (12) - Five DoS needed to progress (Best fifteen pass) 10GD winnings each
Round 3: (15) - Seven DoS needed to progress. (Best five contestants pass) win a Superior Longbow, and Superior Hard Leather armour (worth 30GD, 200ss each)
Round 4: (18) - Highest DoS wins. 150GD, +1 TP. [Alternative arrangements can be made if the winner is a commoner, to avoid having them killed for their coin.]

= 1 DoS total. Out of the game.

Corrine performs well enough in the first and second round, but falls miserably short in the third. Not wanting to show her disappointment, she shrugs it off and distracts herself with socialising. It is only much later, alone in her room, that she has a big drink of brandy and curses herself for her embarrassing failure. The third round had been her downfall three years ago too, though at least then, she had a disguise to hide behind.

Ben stood beside his wife and green friend Luecian, knowing full well he was far out of his element. He could fire arrows and do so with some accuracy, but to compete was another world. He smiles almost stupidly as he looks about. 

The first tended to be the best that moment to breathe and aim aided one greatly. Speeding to the next caused a rise in the bow. Between draws he laughs quietly at himself. The follow-up moves closer to mark, but not enough. Another bit of over-compensation and his arrow skids wildly under the butt. To other competitors annoyance he laughs boisterously. Pull. Release. Close! With some work he could get the hang of this. Unfortunately there was much more that called his attention.

[Do the DoS from each round stack? Or is it that an additional XDoS on top of those is needed to progress?]

[Given how many people will be competing in a grand tournament archery contest (potentially hundreds), and that only 15 pass round 2, it makes sense to me that successes are reset between rounds, so they don't stack. Sorry, Corrine, the competition is just too fierce.]
